1000 Islands
A boaters paradise offering one of Canada’s most exciting boating playgrounds. It challenges the captain's ability to find the same island or anchorage more than once. It challenges the fisherman’s ability to keep all his catch and it challenges the swimmer to get out of the crystal clear water. The Islands show some spectacular homes and castles built by some wealthy Canadian and American families. The Cities of Gananoque and Brockville are the home of the 1000 Islands. They offer historic sites, lovely restaurants, shops and a great Marinas. Both cities as well as the city of Kingston and Alexandria Bay New York are all within cruising distance of each other. Get to the Islands from Ottawa through the locks of the Rideau Canal or have the 29' vacation boat delivered to one of the Island Cities by trailer. For the tour which is over 30; The services of the Captain and crew are available for hire on a 7 day minimum vacation for a special package price. Two adults or a family of 4 persons with children over 10 years are catered to. This vacation would start in Ottawa, go through the Rideau Canal to reach the 1000 Islands, then return back to Ottawa.
